    • Low level laser therapy (also known as ‘cold laser’) is the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries or lesions to improve wound and soft tissue healing, reduce inflammation and give relief for both acute and chronic pain.

LLLT is used to: increase the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair; resolve inflammation and relieve pain (analgesia).

Therapeutic laser treatments provide patients with a safe, effective and painless therapy that uses the body’s own natural healing systems to relieve pain, increase joint mobility, increase tissue integrity and promote cell regeneration. LLLT has been shown to be effective in treating:

      • Low Back Pain

      • Fibromyalgia

      • Neck Pain/Whiplash

      • Knee Pain

      • Shoulder Pain

      • Tendinopathy (Tendonitis/Tendonosis)

      • Sprains/Strains

      • Muscle Tears

      • Sports Injuries

      • Contusions

    • The concept of compression therapy lies on a simple principle: the application of an elastic garment around the leg with graduated compression.

The compression garment (socks, stockings, etc) helps treat chronic venous disease (heavy legs, varicose veins, oedemas, leg ulcers, etc.), phlebitis (inflammation of a vein), thrombosis (formation of a blood clot), and any other forms of varicose veins treatment.

    • Spinal Decompression Therapy involves stretching the spine, using a traction table or similar motorized device, with the goal of relieving back pain and/or leg pain.

This procedure is called nonsurgical decompression therapy (as opposed to surgical spinal decompression, such as laminectomy and microdiscectomy).

Spinal decompression is a type of traction therapy applied to the spine in an attempt to bring about several theoretical benefits including:

Create a negative intradiscal pressure to promote retraction or repositioning of the herniated or bulging disc material.

Create a negative intradiscal pressure to promote retraction or repositioning of the herniated or bulging disc material.

    • We offer a wide variety of orthopedic braces, both custom and off-the-shelf, and numerous sports medicine products ranging from taping supplies and compression sleeves to hinged knee braces.

Custom orthotics are medical devices that control the way you move in order to improve alignment in your foot and leg for better wellbeing.

Orthotics are made to improve function, stability and alleviate pain in the foot and leg. Orthotics have been shown to be effective for foot conditions like plantar fasciitis, knee pain, back pain and a total to improve your gait patterns. Custom orthotics are made after a detailed biomechanical evaluation and diagnosis.

Rehabilitation Services

  • Injuries resulting from a Motor Vehicle accident

We treat a wide range of motor vehicle accident injuries, focusing on pain management, mobility, motor control and strengthening techniques to accelerate rehabilitation; our treatments provide a multi-disciplinary approach using physiotherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, electro-modalities, occupational and massage therapy.

Typically, motor vehicle accident injuries take time to recover from, so a comprehensive treatment plan and early intervention is required for the most successful results.

  • Slip and Fall

Injuries resulting from a slip and fall can be debilitating and traumatic.

Our staff and facility is well equipped to deal injuries resulting from such incidences.

Experience in treating a variety of conditions allows a multi-faceted strategic approach to accelerated healing and rehabilitation.

If aching joints and muscle pain are preventing you from enjoying your favourite activities, or are simply affecting how you manage your day, then chiropractic care will help. Work, accidents, sports injuries, household chores, even the stress of daily living can cause painful joint and back problems. Even if you do not have painful symptoms, chiropractic care can help you maintain a healthy spine and joint function.

Chiropractic doctors practice a manual approach, providing diagnosis, treatment and preventative care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy has been proven to prevent injuries and speed up recovery time by increasing the blood supply and lymphatic drainage to damaged or tense muscles. Massage therapy can effectively relieve or prevent pain and stress and alleviate tightness in order to restore your body, mind and spirit.

Whether your need to have a moment of relaxation, reduce muscle tension or attain relief from chronic pain, a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall sense of emotional and physical well-being as well as your quality of life. All of our massage therapist’s are registered and work as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Comprehensive rehabilitation exercise facility

  • Rehabilitation exercise aims to bring back full function following injury through restoring muscle strength, endurance, power, and improving flexibility. Our therapists achieve these results by carefully selecting and planning various exercises and drills for each client.

There are three different stages within rehabilitation that are important to stick to if returning to pain-free daily life and/or sporting activities:

    • Early stage rehabilitation:

gentle exercise allowing for the damaged tissue to heal.

    • Mid stage rehabilitation:

progressive loading to the muscles, tendons, bones or ligaments. This develops tensile strength producing a healed tissue that will be able to withstand the stresses and strains of everyday life and exercise.

    • Late stage rehabilitation:

functional exercises and drills to improve your strength, flexibility and stamina, and to stress the new tissues to ensure the body is ready for pain-free daily movement and exercise.
